Compact ergonomic keyboards
Compact keyboards aim to focus the activity in front of the user by bringing IT tools within hand reach and user's visual field of action. To achieve this, these keyboards do not integrate a numeric keypad. In the configuration of a keyboard with integrated numeric keypad, the mouse is found in fact even further from the center of the typing actions. To be able to use it, user have to constantly perform back and forth movements which may cause muscle tension in the shoulder and forearms. Compact keyboards provide the flexibility to place numeric keypads freely where they are most convenient, often to the left of the keyboard or in front of the user for better seating and comfort.
