The Hippus HandshoeMouse is the only ergonomic mouse on the market that was developed after extensive research at a medical university and nearly two years of field research. It has been designed so that the arm and hand are held in a completely relaxed position, in the same axis. Its shape has been designed so that the hand, in its entirety, rests on the back of the mouse without having to lift the fingers.

The HandshoeMouse by Hippus is an ergonomic mouse with a 25° pronation angle that combines cutting-edge design and functionality. It was developed during extensive research at the Medical University of Rotterdam, and required almost two years of field research.
The concept of the Hippus Handshoe Mouse is to offer both a very large surface to accommodate the entire hand and a grip-free hand position in combination with user comfort. Its shape prevents the hand from having to hook or grip the surface of the mouse to manipulate it. The Handshoe Mouse means “glove” in Dutch and is intended to fit as close as possible to the hand – to fit like a glove. The hand rests entirely on the back of the mouse while the arm will float the Handshoe Mouse effortlessly from the elbow. The hand, arm, shoulder and neck are fully supported and the muscles of the hand are in a neutral and relaxed tension position.
The Hippus Handshoe Mouse approach is not only focused on comfort but also incorporates a medical dimension through its technical specifications. The Hippus Handshoe is a mouse without grip that keeps the hand in a neutral tension status where the muscles are used as little as possible. It offers a dedicated space for the thumb on the lateral side of the mouse. The thumb rests completely in this location, perfectly still. An ideal mouse for any user looking to limit hand movements and immobilize the thumb. Fingers rest on the back of the mouse, only the second phalanges of the index and middle fingers are likely to move to initiate clicks. The axis of the clicks is horizontal, which prevents inadvertent clicks. The user must be willing to initiate the click by flexing his second phalanx so that the key action can be initiated. Due to this characteristic, this mouse is also suitable for any user with hand’s tremors or spasms.
Universal, adaptable and intuitive.
- Minimize effort and muscle tension. The shape of the mouse supports the hand entirely. Unlike a traditional mouse that requires lifting your fingers to avoid unwanted clicks, only a small movement of the fingers is necessary to click and scroll the wheel. This prevents fatigue in the muscles of the arms and hands and reduces tension in the neck, shoulders, arms and hands while reducing the risk of micro-traumatic pain linked to repeated movements. Its ergonomic shape is designed to eliminate any gripping effort, the hand is not subjected to any tension and rests in its natural position.

- Pointer precision. The HandshoeMouse has a pointer, which works on almost any surface and offers great precision with a resolution of 1000 DPI.
- Wireless efficiency. The wireless versions have a USB receiver with Hertz frequency. It uses a lithium-ion battery that offers up to 4 weeks of autonomy. You can continue to work normally while it is charging by connecting it to the USB cable. Charging cable supplied with ends: USB A to Mini USB. Battery charging time for a duration of 3 hours or 6 hours for a full charge.
