Eliminates the tension and arm stretching

The keyboard’s keys layout was designed long before the creation of a mouse. Back in the days, it seemed logical to place the pad on the right side. Today, the mouse is used more than the numeric keypad. Hence, the later occupies the space that should logically be left for mousing operations.

We recommend that number pad has to be installed to the left side of the Freestyle 2 keyboard so that the mouse stays closer to the keyboard and to the user on the right. Placing the keypad in this way eliminates the usual tension and arm stretching. It will also allow the user to keep its hand on the mouse while using the keypad.

To fulfill the ergonomic principles, the Kinesis Freestyle 2 Keypad integrates additional highly used keys, and adopts the same keying principle as the Freestyle keyboard: comfortable, quiet and soft (45gr of key pressure sensitivity) . The Kinesis Freestyle 2 Keypad includes a palm support (included as an accessory inside the keypad box) which can be clipped on the edge of the keypad. It is the same attachment and principle as the VIP3 accessory with the Kinesis Freestyle 2 Keyboard. The wrist rest of the Kinesis Freestyle 2 numeric keypad is there to provide comfort of use while accompanying the hand gesture and movement when typing. Its aim is to place the hand and the pad at the same height by reducing the space between the keys of the pad and the work surface.
