Standfriend reorganizes workspace and brings work tools at user's height and visual field – at eye level and as close as possible to its body. Thanks to Standfriend’s structure and the length of the platforms the user is driven to work in a shorter space. This space limitation provides a well-defined working space leading user to adopt an ergonomic position, optimising movements and gesture.

Standfriend workstation aim to reduce static positioning by transforming habits and revising office configuration with alternative dynamic postures. Standing up or work while moving, prevents and relieves from Repetitive Strain Injuries that are mainly developed in static and repetitive sitting configurations.

The benefit of being in a standing position is that bad postures are totally eliminated as the body take its natural position. When standing, the body is placed in a neutral position in terms of muscle tension. The muscles hold naturally the body upright and are used as minimum as possible but still remain active and dynamic. In the case of a sitting position, the muscles are always under tension as they are always in activity or await actively to execute the next task. The result and benefit of a standing position is to reduce any tension as much as possible and relieve any pain that mainly concentrate in the neck, forearms, back and cervical.

The Standfriend is not easily mobile or transportable. It can be installed on a standard desk and fits in most working environments. Ideal for space constrained workstations, open spaces or rest areas allowing users to alternate from sitting to standing positions in order to increase their well-being and productivity.
